The new device was unveiled at the Lenovo Tech World Conference which was held in San Francisco in the June month along with the Phab 2 Pro.
The Smartphone comes with a huge 6.4-inch full HD display (1920×1080 pixels resolution) and on top it comes with a 2.5 D curved glass. The device sports a dual camera setup at the rear which has dual 13MP camera lenses and has a laser guided autofocus system. The Smartphone also features an augmented reality mode which is useful for creating photos and videos with superimposed effects similar to a virtual background.
Among the other highlights, this device comprises support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio Capture 5.1 surround sound which is believed to be quite striking. Also, the Smartphone has a fingerprint scanner at the backside. Other features of this device includes a 4,050 mAh battery, an 8MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE support, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and dual SIM support.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus was announced by the company with a price tag of $299 which is going to be about Rs 19,900 INR. So, one should expect a price of anything below Rs 20,000 when it launches in Indian market. In India, the device will be made available through Amazon.in.
It is difficult to classify the target audience for this new Smartphone, but as the features and dimension suggests, the only Smartphone which seems to be in the same class is the newly launched Xiaomi Mi Max.
The Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels resolution) 342ppi display. It has a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. This dual-SIM handset supports 4G LTE with VoLTE and comes with a massive 4850mAh battery. All these and other features make Mi Max a tough competitor against Lenovo Phab 2 Plus.
